Latest Troop Activities

A Massive Suspention Bridge built on Sunday 15th March by the ventures and the rovers. Troop members also cooked their lunch on backwood fire.... well done to all.... A new record number of troop members attended for this activity 49 in all!!! The troop also had the opportunity to do some canoeing...Wow What a day!!

Easter Camp

This year the easter Camp was held in Ghajn Tuffieha between the 13th and the 15th of April.A total of 45 members from the troop attended and surely the most thing that the troop will remember is the bad weather that we encountered.This weather did not stop us to have fun and plan B was adopted. During the first day, the troop settled themselves inside and soon after wereshown a film. In the afternoon although the rain was dripping we took a hike to Golden sands Bay and our trekking shoes soon doubled their size with the clay that stuck on them. Tuesday the weather changed and the rain stopped so we decided to pitch the tents. Since the memebers had gr8 enthusiasm this did not take long and soon after we switched back to the original programme. The troop was split into two groups with the first practicing abseiling on a cliff close to the campsite and the other group doing plaster casts. In the evening after dinner a campfirewas held in the main arena and this gave the opportunity to the membersto sing and act the night away. On that day one of the troop membershad her birtday and we celebrated this with a style :-) On Sunday the groups changed the activitiy, that is the ones who did abseiling on Tue shifted to soing plaster casts and vise versa. In the afternoon, with alittle effort from all, the site was dismantled and all equipment loaded on the van. Thanks to all this was a very successful camp and all members had a lot of fun. The question of everyone was ... When dowe have the next camp??
